PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for securing new business within an assigned territory or market.  The businesses that will be targeted include, but are not limited to: TPAs, self-insured employers, stop-loss vendors, labor and trust organizations, health plans, group health, brokers and consultants. The RSM reports to the Executive VP and is responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects, presenting information and proposals, securing all appropriate legal documentation, closing and effectively implementing new clients.  In addition, this position works directly with the operations team to insure the effective communication of information to prospects, as well as insure the complete and timely implementation of new business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Activities:
     ● Cold call / actively develop pipeline of quality prospects
     ● Meet with prospects to present all UCS services and investigate opportunities to enhance their business
     ● Have a detailed and thorough understanding of all UCS products and services, and the ability to present them clearly & concisely in writing and verbally
     ● Maintain timely correspondence / communication with all prospects to update them on new products and services.
     ● Participate at tradeshows including working at the booth to engage potential prospects
     ● Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries from prospects.
     ● Work with various members of the organization to meet service needs and requests of potential clients.
​     ● Accountable for meeting or exceeding membership growth and revenue goals through new sales activities
     ● Effectively manage and maximize client sales time to drive new business acquisition
     ● Currently have or have the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at broker/consultant firms, TPAs and Stop-Loss Carriers
     ● Manage and report a pipeline of sales opportunities using Salesforce to provide accurate forecasting - Salesforce experience preferred
     ● Self-starter:  Does not need to be micro-managed; Has a drive to work hard and does what it takes to meet pre-determined goals

     ● Represent UCS in a highly professional and competent manner in all business settings.
     ● Meet all reporting requirements as defined by the company.
     ● Travel required to prospects / clients (up to 40%)
